About Me

I am a two time breast cancer survivor and now have a rare autoimmune disease that is slowly attacking my whole body. My one hope here is that "Happy" goes international before it's too late. I'm running out of time. I want my legacy in life that I helped make people happy!

  • About Happy

This is where I post about something good or something happy each day. Then YOU post something good or something happy as a comment! Let's see how far Happy will go!

    How Far Will Happy Go?

Somewhere out there Happy is running around! If you find some Happiness in your life, could you take a picture and let me know where Happy has been and how you found him? He started in Houston, TX and I've heard that he's been to Kansas, New York, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Oregon. He's pretty fast! You can even print Happy here to take with you on your happy adventure today! Then, take a picture of him with you and send it (along with a description of where Happy went) to Melena1006ataoldotcom.

    Someone was happy today!

I don't know who or where, but I can feel it. Something or someone made someone happy today. "How far will happy go?" is running just as fast as it can to try to keep up with everyone. Whew!
I'm glad for you today. Although you may not comment on it here on this blog, you know that it found you. Whoever it was, whatever happened, I'm glad that happiness made it to you! It was just a matter of time.
Who ever is reading this blog...."How Far Will Happy Go?" will find you too. Sooner or later.

    Feed me!!!

Oh, I just love when someone feeds me. I usually spend all of the holidays at home by myself because my family lives so far away and my friends are busy with their families. So I got a phone call Memorial Day from a friend asking me if I would like to come over to his house for dinner. SURE, FEED ME!!! Wow, did he ever. We had a wonderful homemade salad with Ken's dressing (the best salad dressing in the world as far as I'm concerned) real baked potatoes, not the kind you nuke, but actually cook in the oven, prime rib steak cooked perfectly on the grill, sparkling non-alcholic wine (both red and white) and then, and then......ready for the grand finale?
Real homemade cheesecake with strawberries dipped in chocolate. Oh my gosh. I just about melted to the floor just at the sight of that! I am so blessed to have such good friends AND enough cheesecake to take some home!!! Life is heavenly.
Oh, and this is the same guy that sent me the cookbook. Like I'm ever going to even try to cook for him now. LOL

    About Mobea

We all hear or read about all the bad things that happen in this world everyday, but where can you go when something really good happens to you or someone and you just have to tell someone about it and there's no one around. Here's the place! I want to see how many people will actually post something happy and see how far it will go. Like the guy who held up the sign "Free Hug" and it spread internationally. Plus it makes you feel better when you can share good news. Let's see if this can really work. All you have to do is put a comment here. I'll make sure it gets posted. Let's try it to see if it works. It doesn't have to be anything major, maybe something simple like someone opened the door for you today when your arms were full. Or you passed a test that you have really studied hard for. There are so many little things in life that make us happy, that I think we forget to mention them. Well, speak now. Get your friends involved.

I am a retired disabled tax accountant. I have a rare autoimmune disesase that makes life little diffcult for me at times but I still have 5-6 hours that I feel pretty good every day thanks to good drugs. I am a two time breast cancer survivor and I feel very blessed just to wake up every day and find that my name is not in the obits that day. I'm poor as a church mouse, though I do okay on my own. I drive a Rolls Canhardly. It rolls down one hill and can hardly make it up the other. I like being in my 50's. I love motorcycles (I've had my license for over 30 years though I haven't owned one in over 10 years) playing cards, though I am by far the worse poker player you'd ever meet, playing Scrabble, crossword junkie, museums, road trips, concerts, rock and roll to symphony, learning any new, everyday. I just want to start LIVING life again while I still can. Anything else you want to ask me and all I can say is that I'd have a hard time being anybody else but me. And I'm just basically a happy person because i have been blessed by so many loving family and friends.

    Hi everyone!
Oh, and this is my dog and best friend Comet!

Every Day, It Happens To Someone, Somewhere

I am so tired of reading about all the bad things that happen everyday in the world. I just was beginning to feel overwhelmed by it that it just became sickening to even read a magazine, read the newspaper or watch the news. Then one day it dawned on me that we've been brainwashed into believing that it is normal. Since that's all we hear or read everyday, day in and day out, it's only human nature that we became conditioned to it and started believing what we heard and read. That only bad, horrible things happen everyday to someone.

But then I realized that everyday, somewhere, someone, something happens to someone or they witness something that is actually good news or makes you feel happy. It would be so nice to be able to share that with someone. So I've decided on this blog that everyday, I will write about something happy that happened to me or someone else of that I heard of. And I want to see if the other bloggers will spread the word about this blog and add their story to it everyday. Imagine opening up this blog section and KNOW that you're going to read about something happy everyday.
I want to see how far happy will go. Like the guy who held up the sign that read "Free hugs" or "Pay it Forward." See, it's NORMAL for people to be happy. We were born to be happy. The morning brings joy. We just need to share it and hear about it like we do the news, magazines, and newspapers. We need to expose it. That's what this blog is about.

Okay, I'll start. I got an email today that gave the recipes for a lot of the best dishes at the most popular restaurants. How cool was that! Especially since this friend that sent it to me, knows that I CAN'T COOK! I think the smoke alarm is a timer! I mean I really am a lousy cook. I burned boiled eggs twice in one day. So it made me laugh. I think he sent it as a joke, secretly. But when I looked at some of the recipes, I thought that I maybe, just maybe, I could probably make some of these dishes. Well, at least they don't look too difficult. But it really made me happy that someone took the time to send me some of my favorite recipes for some of my favorite dishes. That was either so kind of him or else it means he understands that we will always eat out a lot. Either way, it made me really happy. Now if he would just come over and supervise while I try to do this. I guess I'll find out how brave he really is. LOL

Okay, your turn. Add something to this. Remember, this is an everyday blog, so if you don't read it or add to it, you're going to miss out some happiness for the day.
