About Me

I am a two time breast cancer survivor and now have a rare autoimmune disease that is slowly attacking my whole body. My one hope here is that "Happy" goes international before it's too late. I'm running out of time. I want my legacy in life that I helped make people happy!

This is where I post about something good or something happy each day. Then YOU post something good or something happy as a comment! Let's see how far Happy will go!

    How Far Will Happy Go?

Somewhere out there Happy is running around! If you find some Happiness in your life, could you take a picture and let me know where Happy has been and how you found him? He started in Houston, TX and I've heard that he's been to Kansas, New York, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, Oregon. He's pretty fast! You can even print Happy here to take with you on your happy adventure today! Then, take a picture of him with you and send it (along with a description of where Happy went) to Melena1006ataoldotcom.

    Happy is going bizarre!

I read a story in today's paper where an elderly man had just made a withdraw from his bank and he tripped when he made it outside. Money went scattering everywhere in the wind and people started grabbing up money as quick as they could. He ended up getting 85% of his money back. Some comments were left that it was so nice to read some good news for once. It was also listed under bizarre news.

WHY BIZARRE??? Yes, this was a nice thing that people did for this man. But I bet you, that you could go to any city USA and find enough good news for the day that it would at least fill one sheet of any newspaper.Any day of the week, anywhere in the country. Why is that bizarre? Well, I've decided that Happy should go bizarre and spread as much bizarre news as we can. Maybe one of our bizarre stories will make a headline one day. What do you think? Are there any happy stories out there that can make the bizarre news of the day?

Oh, and Happy is having lunch with some of it's readers from the Houston Chronicle on Aug 9th, so I will be sure to post some pictures of "Happy" with some of his bizarre gang.

Oh and another thing...."How Far Will Happy Go" has now had 834 readers ranging from Japan, Russia, Romania, Nigera, Iceland, Argentina and all over the United States. I cried when I found out that it has spread so far. I have prayed so hard that "Happy" would spread all over the world and it is. I thank you for that from the bottom of my heart. I would love to hear from some of you and get some feedback on what you think of this website.

Mo, I'm not computer savy enough to figure out how to post to your blog, except in the comment section. Here is the post, from my blog, as you requested.

As I was lying by the pool yesterday, it struck me what a wonderful country this is! Oh, I know we're the country of immoral, greedy, self-involved, self-righteous,racist and ugly Americans, but there is no better place to see where all of those adjectives are contradicted than at the swimming pool. Where else do you see all cultures, races and sizes of people than at the pool? Parents putting themselves and their children in a communal pool of fun, laughter and joy with parents of other children of other races and cultures doing the same. Children with fun and love in their hearts, becoming fast friends over a game of catch, or tag, or even squirting each other with squirt guns, not bothering to find out a name or do a background check! It's an amazing thing to witness; adults talking with each other, offering empty chairs to those of us wandering around looking for one and suggesting the best position of the chair for optimum sunbathing! I love the pool!!! I'm not a swimmer but I love the water, I love the sunbathing and I love the camaraderie that develops, if only for a short time frame.

If politicians, and skeptics of what makes America great, want to see the real America, and its people, go to the pool!

You know, you are absolutely right. What I don't understand is if these same people were in their own country, they would be at war with each other. But they come here to the US and they get along just fine. It doesn't make sense to me. Maybe we just turn the whole world into a giant swimmming pool!
