Happy is in Boston
Heard this on "Good Morning America" this morning and it just blew me away!
Once upon a time there was a guy named Tommy DeCarlo, 43, in Charlotte, NC who sang karaoke. He specialized in singing the group "Boston"songs. He was singing karaoke because he had to sell his own keyboard one year to buy Christmas presents for his family one year. His daughter thought that he was so good that she posted him singing on MySpace.
In the meantime, the real Boston group founder Tom Schotz's, wife was listening to music on the computer one day and Tom said that something about it was good to hear them playing their music, but he was still mourning the loss of the lead singer Brad Depp ,who had committed suicide in 2007. But the more he listened to it, the more he realized it wasn't the band playing. It was actually someone singing karaoke. It just blew his mind how much this guy sounded like Brad.
So he contacted Tommy, in NC, and now Tommy is touring with Boston. And Yamaha is giving him a new keyboard. You can read the full interview here

So many things had to have happpened for this happy ending to even begin.
1. Toomy DeCarlo is one talented guy
2., His daughter thought so too and made the effort to put it on MySpace,
3. Schotz's wife had to be listening to music on the computer at that particular time when her husband was in the room,
4. they had to be playing a Boston song,
6. Schotz listened over and over and realized it was someone signing karaoke and found out who it was and contacted him.
5. Happiness found this guy.
It just never ceases to amaze me the way how happy does that. It always finds a way!
